'Millipede' makes history at Iran box office

Abolhassan Davoodi's latest comedy 'Millipede' has set a new sales record in the history of Iranian box office.

The film's gross beat two previous box office toppers of all time - 'Sperm Whale 2' by Saman Moghaddam and Manouchehr Hadi's 'Wing Mirror'.

'Millipede' has bagged more than 210,000,000,000 Rials at the box office.

A brief synopsis of the flick reads, “Reza, a criminal, finds out that a rich female doctor at war veteran hospital vows to marry a veteran.

Reza who is an amputee without a leg wants to marry the doctor. However, things get out of hand in the middle.”

Actors such as Mehran Ahmadi, Sepand Amir-Soleymani, Reza Attaran, Sara Bahrami, Mohammad-Javad Ezzati, Shohreh Lorestani and Omid Rouhani, among many other famous names, are on the cast list.
